Tech Mahindra, Saudi Telecom Company Alliance to Innovate for Vision 2030

Tech Mahindra Ltd, one of the leading IT services company from India incorporated in 1986, on Wednesday announced a strategic alliance with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) aimed at enabling the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in its Vision 2030 through innovations in digitalization targeting a broad spectrum of sectors.

Tech Mahindra’s deep expertise in newer technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data & Analytics, Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) among others will help STC leverage its cloud and IoT platforms, and the reach of its fixed and mobile networks.

According to the Vision 2030, the KSA is looking at making the kingdom a global model of excellence on all fronts by diversifying its economy and developing public sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism. STC is a key implementation partner for Vision 2030 with its robust technology infrastructure and a strong footprint in the region.

In a release issued, Tech Mahindra said the alliance will help the two companies to build and rollout cutting-edge digitalisation solutions, built around the Cloud, IoT and delivered across a variety of interfaces, and covering a broad spectrum of future Smart City and industry-specific needs in the public and private sector covering sectors such as Health, Oil & Gas and Transportation among others.

Commenting on the development, Tech Mahindra Communications Business President and Network Services Chief Executive Officer Manish Vyas Tech Mahindra is driving technology-led transformation at many leading global enterprises.

“With STC as a partner, we have increased our capability manifold. We are very optimistic that with STC as our partner, Tech Mahindra can immensely contribute to the Kingdom’s march towards achieving Vision 2030,” said Vyas.

STC Senior Vice President of Enterprise Tarig M. Enaya said digitisation is key to the success of Vision 2030’s transformation objectives. “That is why we are partnering with Tech Mahindra to innovate around the cloud and IoT and encourage innovation across the eco-system with the solutions and usage cases we develop together,” said Enaya.

Driving the sustainability and momentum of the alliance’s innovation will be a series of Tech Mahindra driven knowledge transfer activities, aimed at creating jobs for experienced Saudi ICT professionals by providing the youth with high-quality technical training, he added.

STC Business delivers scalable digitization solutions to customers in the public and private sector, leveraging STC’s B2B technology-focused subsidiary, STC Solutions, all hosted at a series of data centres with infinite resources interconnected with the most expansive national networks.
