Here is good news for the residents of Bengaluru who wish to fix their street problems. A new app called ‘Fix My Street’ which helps the citizens to connect with the ward engineers will be launched soon.

All they have to do is install the app and send a picture of the problem - be it pothole, uncleared garbage or anything civic issue and the respective ward engineers who are on the app and will resolve the issue within a week’s deadline.

The app being developed by the funds allotted by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, will be launched on October 25.

“If you find any kind of problem in a particular street, related to potholes or bad condition of roads, all you have to do is click a picture and send an SMS to the engineer on the app. The concerned engineer will address the issue within seven days,” said BBMP mayor Sampath Raj.

‘Don’t be confused’

He also said that the people should not confuse this with the existing pothole problems. “We will be able to complete filling all potholes in the city by October 25th. This app will be launched post that deadline,” the mayor clarified.

However, he also said that they are finding it difficult to fill potholes since the rain is washing away jelly stones and the bituminous emulsion just after they fill the potholes.
