<p class="title">Members of Somavamsha Sahasrarjuna Kshatriya (SSK) Samaj celebrated Sri Sahasrarjun Maharaj Jayanti with pomp and gaiety on Sunday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The day-long event, started with the flag hoisting and prayers.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The members of the community observed a minute silence in memory of the community leaders Srihari L Khoday, Mahaveerasa, S M Venkatesh, G D Shankarasa and Gopalakrishna Dhondale.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The evening concluded with the cultural events and the prize distribution to the winners of the painting competition, shloka recitation, fancy dress and quiz contests.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kabadi Nagendrasa, SSK Sangha Donor-Trustee, called upon the youths to draw inspiration from the deeds and achievements of the community leaders and excel in their chosen fields.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He urged the members the community to set up more educational institutions.</p>.<p class="bodytext">S Anantha, former president of SSK Cooperative Society, said that there is a need to educate the children of the Samaja about the success stories scripted by the members of the community.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Akhila Bharatiya SSK Samaj secretary D Gangadharsa, S Dhondusa Dharma Samsthe trustee S N Srinivasa Murthy, SSK Samaj chief patron Khoday L Ramachandrasa, treasurer M C Umashankar, member Magaji K Somashekhar and convener M S Ram among others were present.</p>
