Varunya, Kashyap top

Karnataka’s Varunya Chandrasekar and Kashyap Ashok grabbed the under-16 girls and boys title respectively in the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament here on Friday.
Varunya had an easy outing against State-mate Kavya N Kumar, winning 6-1, 6-1. But Kashyap had to survive some anxious moments against Niral A Shah. Kashyap lost the first set 5-7 but found his bearings at the right time to clinch the next two sets 6-4, 6-2.
In the girls under-14 category, Kavya N Kumar made up for her loss in the under-16 final with a 7-5, 6-0 defeat of Prerana Kalwar.Prajwal Dev outclassed S Kishen 6-0, 6-2 to bag the boys crown.
