JD(S) MLA G T Devegowda on Sunday challenged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to publish a book on how he became the MLA for the first time.

Addressing the party workers of Chamaraja Assembly segment at a meeting in Hebbal Devegowda questioned Siddaramaiah to disclose whether he had money to spend for the MLA election. "He won the election with the financial support of one Kempeeraiah," he said. Devegowda also challenged Siddaramaiah to reveal who provided financial help to him for contesting the Chamundeshwari Assembly segment during the previous election.

He criticised Siddaramaiah for accusing JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda of preventing him from becoming chief minister in 2004. "Despite opposition by senior MLAs, Deve Gowda made Siddaramaiah as deputy chief minister, only to provide an opportunity for the leaders representing all communities," he said.

"Now, Siddaramaiah has forgotten everything. He did not consider the request made by Deve Gowda to change an accountant," the MLA chided.
