Hassan micro artist eyes place in Indian Book of Records

Micro artists craft their imagination with their hands, creating amazing sculptures. One such artist of the town is Jaffar Sadiq, who has carved a variety of sculptures and micro art.

A resident of Khalandarnagar of the town, Jaffar aims at entering the Indian Book of Records for an extraordinary feat, by creating a 1 mm micro book. The 15-page book has English alphabets and has 'India' written on it, which is visible only through a microscope.

He has also carved the Taj Mahal, Tipu Sultan, National Flag, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Poet Kuvempu, actor Rajkumar, Mahatma Gandhi, deities Radha- Krishna and others on pencil lead.

Jaffar, who has completed PU course, is working at a textile showroom in the town. He has also written 1.20 lakh words on the 50-paise postcard. The whole card has India written on it. He had taken approximately two months to complete the card. He has also signed his name 80 times on a rice grain.

He has already entered the Golden Book of World Records, RHR Indian Record and many more.

Speaking to DH, Jaffar said, "I am not creating the art for any awards. It is my passion for 15 years. I do it for my happiness."
