All set for Bengaluru Comic Con 2017

A bonanza awaits the city's graphic novel, comic and cosplay buffs this weekend: The Bengaluru Comic Con 2017 is all set for a grand landfall, with illustrators, cartoonists and creators worldwide lined up for an explosion of creative expressions.

The stars will go live at the KTPO Convention Centre on December 2 and 3. On the international guest list are Gavin Aung Thang, cartoonist and creator of the popular Cartoon Blog Zen Pencils; John Layman, comic book writer most known for writing Chew; Scott Hampton, illustrator for iconic properties such as Batman, Sandman, Black Widow, Hellraiser and Star Trek.

Stand Up comics Sahil Shah from East India Comedy and Naveen Richards will also be there, performing live on the main stage.

Like every edition, this year's Comic Con will also have exclusive experiential and gaming zones. On the agenda are the Star Wars Fan Experience, AXN Experience Zone, WWE Special Fan Experience, Rockstar Games Zone, Amazon Prime Video Zone, Graphic India Zone and Mountain Dew Gaming Arena.

One big attraction will be the Cosplay (Costume Contest) in five categories: Comic book /graphic novel; animated series/movie; manga/anime; sci-fi/fantasy and gaming. The winners will automatically enter the running to represent India at the Crown World Championship of Cosplay in Chicago.

Among Indian artists and creators, Abhijeet Kini, Aniruddho Chakraborty, Sailesh Gopalan, Saumin Patel, Vivek Goel, Rajeev Tamhankar and Sumit Kumar will be part of the Comic Con.
