<p>The work on converting overhead electric cables into underground cables at a cost of Rs 5 crore has been completed in Mangaluru, said MLA J R Lobo.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He was speaking at a meeting here on Wednesday. The UG cable has been laid from Karavali Circle in Kankanady to A B Shetty Circle. The work on laying interlock and a few minor pending works will be completed soon. The MLA also discussed on laying of a sub station at Jeppinamogaru.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He also directed the Mescom to install streetlights in Mangaluru City South Assembly constituency.</p>
