The final day of the dog show witnessed hundreds of participants and dog lovers.

The KCI-FCI's 23rd and 24th International Dog Show and the Bangalore Canine Club's All Breed 40th and 41st Championship Dog Show ended on Sunday after three days of stellar participation.

The international dog show organised by Belgium-based  FCI was hosted for the time in the city. A total of 67 different breeds showcased their talent at the show.

B V Srikanth, vice president, Bangalore Canine Club, said the most popular breed among participants was American Cocker Spaniel, Mudhol Hound, the new entrant Borzoi and German Shepherd.  The German Shepherd  was the city's  favourite breed with the highest number of participants.

The best puppy award was bagged by the Siberian Husky and the best reserve puppy was bagged by a  pug.

Dog lovers and owners were seen grooming their canines. Veterninarians also advised pet lovers on how to take care of their canines. Visitors were seen taking photographs of their favourite dogs at the show and discussing details with owners and veterinarians on how to house and take care of pets since the city houses a large number of nuclear families with working couples.
