Henry D'Souza to receive Lifetime Achievement Award on Dec 10

The awards in Konkani Music, instituted by Mandd Sobhann – the 9th Global Konkani Music Awards, will be awarded at Kalaangann on December 10.

Internationally acclaimed singer, actress, composer and song writer Vasundhara Das will be presenting the awards. She will also be singing on the occasion. 'Golden Voice of Goa' Lawry Travasso will also perform at the ceremony.

Henry D'Souza from Mumbai will receive the 'Global Konkani Music Lifetime Achievement Award'.

Mandd Sobhann's Singing Club 'Sumell' and Blue Angels Choir will be presenting a few group songs. Nach Sobhann and Nicky Pinto (of Dance Plus Fame) will present dances.

The top three nominees of all six categories will be honoured on the occasion and the final winners will be declared and awarded at the ceremony.
