TVS races on super-premium track astride Apache RR 310

Homegrown two-wheeler major TVS has forayed into the super-premium segment, launching the much-awaited Apache RR 310 on Wednesday. Specifically designed for the race enthusiast, the new bike shares its keystones with the BMW G 310 R.

Unveiling the new bike, TVS Joint Managing Director Sudardhan Venu said, "It's a pleasure for both the companies to put forward our experience in manufacturing bikes. The all new Apache RR 310 will surely create a benchmark in the market. It's a manifestation of 35 years of learning on the race track. We are confident that the customers and Apache-lovers will be bowled over by it, as they find a perfect combination of race craft technology and riding dynamics."

This is the first 300-cc product from the TVS stable that will be available in both domestic and international markets.

TVS President and CEO K N Radhakrishnan said that the naked sports bike Apache RTR and scooter Jupiter have become successful, through which they have sold 2.5 million bikes till date. "With the launch of Apache RR 310, we expect more growth in the coming days," he said.

The racy look and sportier nature is outstanding. The Apache RR 310 packs in a 312 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine, dishing out power of 34 PS @ 9,700 rpm, and a torque of 27.3 NM @ 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed super-slick gear box that offers a precise and sharp race-shift experience. The motorcycle boasts of a top speed of 160 kmph, and acceleration from 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The new TVS Apache RR 310 is priced Rs 2,05,000 (ex-showroom).
