JOIN USA man set a jeep and a car, belonging to his younger brother, on fire after a property dispute at Ammatthi near here on Thursday.
Karumbaiah of Puliyeri village had given his eight-acre coffee estate to Vishwanath (one of their five children) through a will, following which his four children had an enmity with Vishwanath.
It is said that the couple gave the property to Vishwanath as he was staying with them for the last 20 years at Ammathi while the rest four were living in Bengaluru and other areas.
According to a police complaint, Vishwanath's younger brother Chittiappa set a jeep and a car on fire and fled the spot.
Virajpet police have registered a case. A couple of cases have been filed over property dispute by the family members, it is said.
