Prestige Clean Home, a division of TTK Prestige, on Thursday launched domestic electric mop and a range of water purifiers for the Indian market. It also plans to export these products, going forward.

The company's electric mop, which was conceptualised by T T Jagannathan, Chairman of TTK Group, was in the making for five years, and it is engineered for Indian homes.

Prestige Clean Home has launched more than 50 products in a year, and Clean Home is expected to contribute 8-10% to company top-line over the next three years.

Talking about the new range of 'Tattva' water purifiers, Chandru Kalro, MD of TTK Prestige, said, these purifiers use Fibrillated Adsorbent Cellulose Technology (FACT). "Water purifiers are extremely under penetrated and are still in low double digits even in urban India," Kalro said.

Jagannathan said they are planning to take water purifiers to rural schools as well, and that they are targeting rural areas also. "In the case of electric mop, our target is only the urban areas. We are also planning to export the product as it is completely a new concept," Jagannathan said, adding that they are expecting water purifier   to be the largest segment in the future.

While the electric mop is priced at Rs 8,995, water purifiers are priced from Rs 3,195.

The company is not planning to enter any other category in the coming five years.
