Ensure my state tour is a success, CM tells ministers

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Monday, is learnt to have told his Cabinet colleagues to put in extra efforts to ensure that his one-month, pre-election tour of the state scheduled from December 13 is a success.

At the Cabinet meeting, Siddaramaiah is reported to have told all district incharge ministers to personally supervise arrangements for the conventions in their respective jurisdictions. Siddaramaiah is scheduled to launch his tour from Basavakalyana in Bidar district on Wednesday.

The chief minister told his colleagues to ensure good turnout at the conventions and that there should not be any confusion or lapses in the arrangements. He also told them to visit Bengaluru regularly and monitor the functioning of their respective departments. With Siddaramaiah being away from the state capital for a month, he had a packed itinerary in the capital on Monday.

Siddaramaiah chaired the cabinet meeting, the state high-level clearance committee meeting at Vidhana Soudha and later a series of meetings at his home office 'Krishna' in the evening.
