Rs 2K-cr iron ore exported illegally under Cong rule: HDK

Charging that Rs 2,000 crore worth iron ore was illegally exported by the state-owned Mysore Minerals Ltd under the present Congress regime, JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has said that he
will soon expose this scam.

Addressing the reporters in Bengaluru on Friday, Kumaraswamy demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarify how such a large quantity of ore was exported, and also name the people responsible for the illegality. He said that he will expose the illegality with documentary evidence soon after the Gujarat Assembly elections.

He attacked Siddaramaiah for staying mum over the violence in Uttar Kannada. The violence could have been avoided, if taken adequate measures, he said. He also took a swipe
at Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai's 'Walk for harmony'. "What's the point in carrying out a peace march, after the violence fueled?" he added.
