An international call that lasted for 17 hours has left the private company owner shocked.

Mohan Lal Bharath Kumar Jain, director of Oswal Minerals Limited, Rajajinagar, has lodged a complaint with the cybercrime police over an international call that ran into 17 hours.

The company has total 85 BSNL landlines. Every month, he used to get the telephone bill up to Rs 30,000 to 40,000. But in November this year, he received a whopping bill of Rs 6 lakh, in which a call made on October 8 alone costed Rs 5.4 lakh.

After inquiring into the call details, Jain found that the call was made on Sunday around 6 pm and continued until the next day 9 am - a total of 17 hours of one continuous international call.

He stated in the complaint that the call went from one of the lines 080–2309 0000 from the office.

While Jain has ordered an internal inquiry into the mystery phone call, the BSNL has issued a notice to disconnect all the landline connections as he failed to pay the bill.
Jain, then lodged the complaint with the cybercrime police.
