2 constables suspended

Dakshina Kannada SP C H Sudhir Kumar Reddy suspended two police constables of Subrahmanya police station on charges of allegedly harassing a Muslim youth after he was found with a girl at Subrahmanya. The girl had reportedly fled her home.

The suspended constables are Prashanth Kumar and Sandhyarani. The girl, who had fled her home, was found with the boy in Subrahmanya on December 20. The police brought the girl to the station on the night of December 20 and reportedly called Parvez of Bellare to the station on December 21. The boy was reportedly harassed by the constables. A departmental enquiry is in progress.
