Aradhana Utsav at Sri Krishna temple to be held from Jan 5

Aradhana Utsav will be organised at Rajangana Hall, Sri Krishna Temple, Udupi from January 5 to 8 at 7 pm. The utsav is a brand of Olivehill Media Pvt Ltd.

A release stated that on January 5, there will be a dance performance by dancer and actress Lakshmi Gopal Swamy. On January 6, Indo European band Nandi featuring artistes Ghatam Suresh Vaidyanathan and Amit Nadig from India, Stephen Orins and Pascal Loverange from France and Zohar Fresco from Isreal will present a programme. Nandi is a trio composed of master Indian percussionist Ghatam Suresh, bassist Pascal Lovrgne and pianist Stefan Orins. A new piano bass drums trip is created by blending jazz and South Indian Carnatic rhythms and melodies. The two musical worlds complement each other in a balanced mix. Joining them will be leading percussionist from Israel, Zohar Fresco, an Israeli composer who specialises on the frame drum.

On January 7, Carnatic vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyan will present the concert. On January 8, artistes Rahul Sharma on santoor, Ghatam Giridhar Udupa on Ghatam and Mukundraj Deo on tabla will present a programme.
