JOIN USThe CCB police on Saturday arrested four persons in Abdul Basheer assault case.
The arrested are: Srijit (25), Sandesh Kotyan (22) of Kasargod, Kishan Pujari (21) and Dhanush Pujari (22), both residents of Mangaluru.
Mangaluru Police Commissioner T R Suresh, in a press meet, said that all four were involved in several cases. "Srijit is wanted in six cases registered in Kasargod and one case in Ullal police station, Kishan Pujari and Dhanush Pujari are facing three and two cases of assault respectively while Sandesh is charged with assault case."
The gang of four had waylaid Basheer, who runs a fast food outlet near Kottara Chowki, while returning home and attacked him with sharp weapons inflicting on him multiple wounds on Wednesday night, the police said.
Two ambulance drivers, who saw Basheer in a pool of blood, informed the police before rushing him to a nearby hospital. Basheer's condition is said to be very critical.
