Tension prevailed for a while at Wadi Junction in Kalaburagi district on Thursday morning after Solapur-Guntakal passenger train hit Platform-4 leading to wall collapse.
None was injured in the accident, but a few parts of the train were damaged.
The train was redirected to Platform-4 than its usual halt on Platform-1 or Platform-3 due to repair work.
There was noise accompanied by mild jerks after the accident. The collision occurred as the Platform-4 was smaller in size (width).
Railway officials arrived at the spot and inspected the damage. An enquiry is likely to be conducted.
