Reiki expert hopes to get BJP ticket from Melkote

According to sources, reiki expert and hypnotist Balakrishna Guru is hopeful of contesting on a BJP ticket from the Melkote Assembly constituency against K S Puttannaiah and C S Puttarajau.

Balakrishna hails from Melkote and lives in Bengaluru.

He joined BJP in the presence of BJP district unit president K Nagannagowda on January 10.

Balakrishna is an engineering graduate and holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Balakrishna served as a lecturer for some time before becoming a full time reiki master.

He also teaches hypnotism techniques to treat people with ailments.

Speaking to DH, Balakrishna said he is confident of getting the party ticket from Melkote as his name has been suggested to party president Amit Shah.

If the party selects another aspirant, he would work for the victory of the candidate in the Assembly constituency, the reiki expert said.
