Nashik to host wine festival this weekend

Grape stomping, wine tasting, farmers market,  live kitchen-cooking with wine,  round trip to bird sanctuary,  kite flying,  cycling  and  hot air ballooning are some of the events planned over the weekend in Nashik which is all set to host India Grape Harvest, Wine Festival 2018.

The festival will be held at 20 locations across Nashik with the participation of well-known wineries.

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in association with Nashik Valley Wine Cluster plans to promote "Nashik Valley"  as  one of the leading  tourist destinations for wine lovers through the festival.

"The wine festival offers an outstanding platform for the key decision makers to emphasize on the massive opportunities in terms of wine tourism in Maharashtra. I am sure through this festival we will be able to create  a niche for ourselves in world map to attract more tourists in this region", Tourism and Employment Guarantee Scheme Minister Jaykumar Rawal said.
