HGS plans to hire 4000 people in 2018

Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS), the business process management services arm of Hinduja Group, will add 4,000 more people during this year.

"The additional employees will be deployed across our various destinations across the world," HGS Chief Executive Officer Partha DeSarkar told  DH.

He said the company is finding momentum in healthcare, its primary business vertical. The company has 69 centres worldwide. It has a total workforce of 46,321 as on December 31, 2017.

"We have around 2,500 employees in the US and the new hiring will also happen there. We are continuing with our local hiring strategy across regions," he said.    

HGS reported a consolidated profit of Rs 49 crore for the third quarter ended December 2017 registering a growth of 3.70% compared with  Rs 47.22 crore in the same period in the last fiscal.

The consolidated total income of the company marginally rose 2% to Rs 978.51 crore during the December quarter, from Rs 959.68 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

"Our major focus is healthcare and 50% of our revenue comes from this vertical. We differentiate in the market with our depth of capability in this area," he said. Its other verticals include consumer electronics and telecom.    

The company CEO also said it struck a good balance between pursuing revenue growth and profitability and delivering stable margins.
