JOIN USA convention of Tenkutittu Yakshagana amateur artists will be organised by Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation at Town Hall in Mangaluru on February 18.
Addressing reporters in Mangaluru on Friday, Convention Chair and Yakshagana artist Jabbar Sumo said that the programme will be inaugurated by district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura. MLC and Opposition whip in Legislative Council Capt Ganesh Karnik will be the chief guest.
Later, a session on amateur Yakshagana will be held where various Yakshagana artists will take part. Dr M Prabhakar Joshi will be the coordinator.
Yakshagana singing will be performed by amateur artists at 1.30 pm.
The valedictory programme will be held at 4 pm. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will preside. KPSC Chairman Dr T Shyam Bhat will deliver the valedictory address. Mayor Kavita Sanil will be the chief guest.
Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Chairman Patla Satish Shetty, Honourary president Dr M Prabhakar Joshi, secretary Harish Bolantimogaru and convener Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli were present at the press meet.
