Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project â€“ the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project-and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's flagship initiative - the Nagpur-Mumbai super communication expressway â€“ would be showcased at the at the mega summit in Maharashtra starting from Sunday.
The aim is to make Maharashtra future-ready so that it features consistently in the top destinations of the world for industrial innovation and smart manufacturing.
While Modi would inaugurate the Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018 Global Investors Summit at the MMRDA Ground at the Bandra-Kurla Complex on Sunday, a host of Central ministers and Captains of the India Inc would be visiting the event.
The event will be organised by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
"In the last couple of years, Maharashtra has achieved a new trajectory in bolstering the state's industrial output. This is evident in multiple reports released by reputed financial bodies that places the state ahead of the rest in Ease of Doing Business, as also statistics such as 50% of infrastructural development of India being clocked in Maharashtra," said Fadnavis.
"We are eyeing Rs 10 lakh crore investment pacts with domestic and global investors at the upcoming Maharashtra Investment Summit and we plan to sign approximately 4,500 MoUs to make this summit a true success," said Industries Minister Subhash Desai.
