JOIN USPrime Minister Narendra Modi launched the World Congress on Information Technology and Nasscom Leadership Forum 2018 via videoconference here on Monday.
Modi stressed on the importance of technology in present days world.
"Digital India has not remained merely a government initiative, but has become a way of life," said Modi.
The prime minister further said that technology has become an inseparable part of our lives.
"India not only has innovative entrepreneurs but has become a market for technological innovations," he said adding that Indians are one among the most tech-savy people in the world.
The three-day event will feature 50 content-rich sessions by more than 200 global thought leaders.
In all 2,500 delegates from 80 countries are participating in the World Congress.
