Strengthen BJP's booth level presence, BSY tells party ranks

State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa said that as part of Parivartana Yatre he had traveled the length and breadth of the state and learnt about the pressing issues, hopes, aspirations of the people in those areas.

He spoke at the Navashakti Samavesha at Bantwal, Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday.

"We have to strengthen our party at the booth-level. We have get at least 60% of the votes at each booth. Don't bother about how strong the Congress is. Just focus on strengthening booths," he said.

Congress is in power in Karnataka only. In the last three and half years, BJP is in power in 19 states. "If you work hard to strengthen the party, BJP will surely come to power in Karnataka," he added.

The contribution of booth-level workers is invaluable in rooting out corrupt Congress from the state the former CM said.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working hard without rest. As his supporters, we have to work hard too. At the booth, during the polls, each page of the electoral roll has to be monitored by a separate party worker. You must enlighten people on the successes of the Central government and the failure of the state government," Yeddyurappa advised party rank and file.
