For those who crave the ambience of a cafe yet would like to munch on satiating food, the 'Chaiywaala Da Dhaba' is the right stop for you. Located at Hennur Road, the eatery will surprise you with its offerings and cosy layout.
With humble interiors that can seat 35 people that includes both indoor and outdoor seating, the eatery can easily be your favourite haunt. The ambience with its colourful and playful furniture and 'charpoy' is sure to floor you. The fencing and shack-like appearance outdoors, sets in the mood for a relaxed weekend with friends or when you're just by yourself. The place is surrounded by DIY furniture and decorations which pep the place up.
When it comes to the menu, the place has a lot to offer for the tea lover and the foodie. Saksham Kathuria, CEO and founder of the place, says, "Our 'chaiy' is of a signature-style. We even call it differently, referring to the tea sold by small vendors at train stations and other places. We have a 'chaiy' for each tea lover. For the traditional tea lover, we have the 'Hindustani Chaiy', which includes cardamom and 'tulsi'; the 'Chaiywaala Iconic Chaiy' that is made of ginger and masala, is for the strong tea lover and the 'Kadak Adraki Chaiy' is for those people who like ginger in their tea."
"When it comes to quick bites, 'Pizza Pakoda' and 'Peri Peri Paneer Pakoda' are our top-selling items. The 'Pizza Pakoda' has Italian flavours in a 'pakoda', which is available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options," he adds.
Despite being a 'chaiy' place, the cafe has options for coffee lovers too. "While our coffee is not typical filter coffee or an espresso, it is frothy and creamy yet prepared in a homemade style. We also have beverages like 'Hazelnut Hot Coffee' and 'Hershey's Hot Coffee', which is not to be missed," he says. Other drinks like the buttermilk and the 'Patiala Lassi' are popular choices here.
For those who would like to have a full-fledged meal, Indian breads like 'kulcha', 'naan' and 'laccha paratha' with 'Dal Makhani' or 'Paneer Butter Masala' are a definite go ahead. "The 'Buttery Tandoory Chicken' which is chicken laden with cream and butter is a rich and unique item," says Saksham.
The eatery also brings in items like 'Gobi Manchurian', 'Paneer Chilly'
and noodles, for the Chinese food lover.
