Three youths were killed on the spot after a KSRTC bus collided with a van near Channapillaikoppalu village in the taluk on Sunday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Nitin (21), son of Puttaswamy of Kirugavalu village and Gangadhar (19), son of Shivanna of Hoovinakoppalu village of Malavalli taluk and Dilipkumar (22), son of Boraiah of Annetaggalli village of Maddur taluk. The deceased, said to be photographers, were on their way to attend a programme at Kunduru in the taluk when the mishap occurred.
