Bengaluru Development and Town Planning Minister K J George hit back at Janaagraha saying that the organisation has not carried out the survey properly.
The survey ranked Bengaluru last among cities in terms of urban governance.
"We have great respect for the organisation but they have to verify the facts before publishing," George said.
BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad said, "They have given us zero in seeking public advice in preparing the budget. If you remember properly, Janaagraha had started a Budget Bus to collect inputs. After receiving over 67,000 inputs, we decided to include 22% of it and members of Janaagraha were present."
