JOIN USThe seers of six mutts, excluding the Shiroor and Puttige Mutt seers, held a closed-door meeting over the Shiroor Mutt seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swami's reported charges against them here on Thursday midnight.
It is said that Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami had come down from Bengaluru only to hold the meeting despite his ill health. The seers decided to take action against the Shiroor mutt seer and the possibilities of legal action were also considered.
The meeting was held Madhwangana Sabhabhavana between 10.30 pm and 12.30 am. Junior seers of Pejawar and Admaru Mutts also took part in the meeting. It is said that the Pejawar seer left for Bengaluru immediately after the meeting. The Shiroor Mutt seer had reportedly said that all the Ashta mutt seers have children, including him, in an interview given to a private TV channel. However, he had later declined the allegations and had termed the video fake.
