RS polls: JD(S) issues whip to its MLAs

The JD(S) has issued a whip to all its MLAs, including seven rebels, for the March 23 Rajya Sabha elections in the state.

The party's state president H D Kumaraswamy has issued the whip asking all the MLAs to vote for party candidate B M Farookh.

The JD(S) has 37 MLAs on its side. But seven of them have rebelled and are likely to vote in favour of the Congress. The seven MLAs had cross-voted to favour the Congress inthe Rajya Sabha polls held in 2016.
