JOIN USKarnataka Growers Federation (KGF) President B S Jairam said that a memorandum has been submitted to AICC President Rahul Gandhi to raise the issues of the fall in pepper prices and the hardships of coffee growers in the parliament.
The request was made during Rahul Gandhi's visit to Chikkamagaluru for Janasheervada Yatre. The memorandum was submitted in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, M P Veerappa Moily, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and others.
The AICC president has responded positively to the request, B S Jairam said in a press release.
KGF General Secretary Teerthamallesh, Karnataka Planters Association President H K Pramod, Mudigere Taluk Growers Association President B R Balakrishna and others were present while submitting the memorandum.
