Dream homes for aam aadmi

Prakaash Kumar Singh and Deepakk Kumar, the enterprising entrepreneur brother duo, the promoters of Sovereign Developers & Infrastructure Ltd (SDIL), are as much ‘Driven By Excellence’ (their motto) as they are by their passion to offer good quality housing to a much larger segment of home seekers.

With the recent launch of their flagship project, Sovereign Unnathi, at a basic price of Rs 14 lakh for a 2 BHK apartment in a multi-storeyed complex of 26 towers in Horamavu Bangalore, they have demonstrated that it is possible to make this dream a reality. Little wonder then that these units are selling like as hot cakes even in a relatively sluggish market.

The SDIL promoters have come up with a well-thought out strategy to keep all-round costs low without compromising on quality. For one, they have all the needed construction equipment and expertise in-house, thanks to their extensive experience in building high-quality structures in and around Bangalore.

And they have gone in for complete standardisation in designing totally uniform residential units, all of which makes for tremendous cost-saving. This, combined with their excellent understanding of the construction industry’s working, makes them confident of executing the project well within its budget and completion deadline of 30 months. The mode and schedule of payments are very customer-friendly, with payments tied to the progress of the project.

Complete sanction plan has been obtained from the BBMP for Phase I of the project and the promoters pride themselves on the fact they have not deviated from the stipulated norms nor compromised on any aspect of the project—be it safety or statutory.

Each housing unit will have piped gas and back-up power, telephone with intercom facility, round-the-clock security, cable TV and broadband network, recreational facilities like a clubhouse with gym, swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, spa, library, children’s play area and indoor games will be available to the residents.

In the second phase, a commercial complex will come up in which the daily needs of the residents will be met through departmental stores, milk and vegetable outlets, beauty parlour, internet café, laundry etc. “Our aim is to make it possible for more and more people to not only dream but also own affordable quality houses,” say Prakaash and Deepakk.
