Speaking to reporters at Puducherry airport en route to Cuddalore on a private visit to a temple at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, Yeddyurappa said he enjoyed visiting Puducherry, ''a city with a pleasant environment and blessed by the great Sri Aurobindo.''

Yeddyurappa said his government would complete two years in office on May 30 and planned to celebrate the occasion on a grand scale.

Asked about the contentious Hogenakkal issue, he said the Karnataka Chief Secretary would meet his Tamil Nadu counterpart to try and amicably sort out the issue. MPs from Karnataka had already approached the Prime Minister.

Yeddyurappa later left Puducherry by road for Cuddalore to offer worship at the temple at Thiruvehindupuram.

On his arrival, Yeddyurappa was received by the Director of Information and Publicity S Chandrasekaran on behalf of the government. BJP Puducherry unit president S P K Damodar and other office bearers also welcomed him.
