Indo-American film festival

Bangalore, May 12, DHNS:

An Indo-American film festival highlighting the rise of Indian crossover cinema in the West will be held on May 14 at 5 pm and May 15 at 11 pm at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore.

 
The festival called "Yellow Frames" is hosted by American Corner, which is a partnership between US Consulate, Chennai and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

The films to be screened are American Chai on May 14 evening and Still In Transit, Sita Sings the Blues, Indian Cowboy, and Mississippi Masala on May 15.

Dr B Saroja Devi will inaugurate the festival. Robert Kerr, acting Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate General, Chennai and N Ramanuja, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be present. Dada Saheb Phalke awardee cinematographer V K Murthy will be felicitated.
Entry is free on a first come, first serve basis.
