Rs 17 cr for drinking water projects in Kadur

Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said water will be supplied from Bhadra river to the twon. The work on laying pipes are under progress. The work on constructing a water tank which can store 10 lakh gallon water is under progress at Doddaghatta in Birur. Three water tanks will be constructed at Birur and two at Kadur. Government has already released additional 17 crore for the completion of the work. A proposal has been submitted to government to undertake the work on underground drainges in Kadur and Birur. The government is likely to give administrative nod for the project in July, he added. Krishnamurthy said Kadur-Birur towns have been selected for Kannada Shuddha Ganga yojane.
