Zuari forays into realty business

Zuari Industries Limited Chairman Saroj Poddar told Deccan Herald that “we were always interested in adding value to the land we’ve traditionally owned in several parts of the country and this is just a beginning…”

Though its owns land in Goa, Delhi, Kolkata and Paradip, it decided to buy land in Mysore to kick start its entry into the real estate market, reflecting the strong performance of South Indian realty market versus rest of India in the last two years. He said the project has been cleared by the State and that it would be launched by the end of 2010.”

The project will see around 2,000 dwelling units including apartments, row houses/villas and other amenities and facilities.
