"It has been a beautiful journey, as I got the opportunity to work with the greatest icons and creative minds," said the 58-year-old actress while accepting the trophy. She began her Bollywood career with a small role in 1971 film 'Hulchul', followed by 'Hungama' in the same year. But Aman shot to fame as the hippie sister of actor Dev Anand in 'Hare Rama...', aided by the famous song sequence 'Dum Maro Dum'.

She went on to star in films like 'Yaadon Ki Barat', 'Shalimar', 'Roti Kapda Aur Makan' and 'Don', co-starring superstars like Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan.
The sex symbol of the 70s and 80s, Aman is credited with bringing in the Western looks and style of dressing into Bollywood, which otherwise mostly showed sari-clad actresses in movies.

She has won the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress Award for her portrayal of Janice in 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' and was nominated twice for the Best actress award in her career.

Aman took a decade-long break during the 90s, and have been seen in very few films recently, including 'Boom' in 2003 and 'Ugly Aur Pagli' in 2008
