Los Angeles, June 7 (PTI)

Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart starrer vampire romance 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' was the big winner at the MTV Movie awards, picking up four trophies including the coveted Best Film prize.

Peter Facinelli and other members of the cast of The Twilight Saga: New Moon accept the best movie award at the MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on Sunday. APCo-stars Stewart and Pattinson were the toast of the evening as they each triumphed in the Best Female and Male Performance categories, reported MTV news. They also shared the prize for Best Kiss for the second time and teased the crowd by debating on as whether to or not to follow it with a live lip-lock. But Stewart let her viewers down by snubbing Pattinson's smooch.

"To be perfectly honest with you, it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing,"she declared.Pattinson was also bestowed with the award of the Global Superstar.
The other winners included Anna Kendrick, who was named the Best Breakout Star for her role in 'Up In The Air', opposite George Clooney while 'The Hangover' stars Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong won for Best Comedic Performance and Best WTF Moment, respectively.
The glittering ceremony also marked the return of Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock to the public eye after three months. The 45-year-old actress, who has filed for divorce from her cheating husband Jesse James, announced that she is ready to move on with her life.

Bullock was welcomed to the stage with a standing ovation after an introduction by Bradley Cooper, Betty White and Scarlett Johansson.

The actress, who had made headlines by sharing a kiss with Meryl Streep at an award ceremony earlier this year, surprised Johansson by kissing her.Bullock, who won the MTV Generation Award, also took the opportunity to laugh off rumours that she plans to quit acting, and made light of her personal life, telling the crowd, "Now that we have done that, can we please go back to normal? Because therapy is really expensive."
