Honour for spectacular achievements

The winners were all excited and gleaming with joy. The teachers and the parents were also extremely proud about the achievements of these students. After the regular rounds of speech by the dignitaries, the students were called and the awards were presented. The institute was extremely proud of Rajat Bhushan, who bagged the Indo-US blogging honour in the first ever blogging competition organised by the US Consulate in Chennai.

Rajat, a second-year ECE student said, “This was the first ever blogging competition I participated in, my classmate notified it to me. I approached my teachers and they helped me immensely. I did a lot of research to take part in this competition, it was quite exciting and I learnt a lot in the process.”

“The staff supported me a lot by giving me enough suggestions and I was also given access to the Internet in my hostel. So that I could work on this competition well,” he added. The other students who received awards were Subhash and Darshan. The duo won two prizes for rocket building and robot designing competition. They participated in many competitions as a team and have been successful in most of them. Harsha, yet another student, was awarded for his performance at baseball. He is part of the baseball national team. Finally, Digvatsa, one of the toppers from VTU, was awarded for academic excellence.

The college promised that they would encourage their students in every possible way and would prepare students for the job market. The college authorities also gave out scholarships to 10 students, wherein their tuition fees will be covered through scholarships.

Subhash, says, “I am really happy to receive this award, it feels great when you are supported for the work done by you. The concepts, which were taught by my teachers, helped me to a large extent when I took part in various competitions. That is how I was able to succeed.”
