<p>The Board of Approval (BOA)—the single window clearing body for SEZ—approved the proposal of Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T) to set up a SEZ in the IT and IT Enabled Services (ITeS) sector at Mysore.<br /><br />The proposed L&T SEZ project, which has already got sanction of the Karnataka government, will be set up at an industrial area in Hebbal—Hootagally zone in Mysore. The other two fresh SEZ proposals cleared relate to IT/ITES and free trade ware housing sectors.<br /><br />Further, in-principle approvals were graanted to three SEZ projects in sectors like pharmaceuticals, multi product and aluminum. In a bid to expedite construction of SEZ projects the BOA allowed promotes of seven SEZs including one from Karnataka to rope in co-developers. The BOA allowed KIADB to rope in Leela Lace Holdings Private Limited for IT/ITES SEZ project near Mangalore.</p>
