K R Puram tahsildar suspended
The State Government has suspended K R Puram tahsildar Asha Parvin on charges of sanctioning 12 acres of government land in BBMP limits to a few persons illegally.
The tahsildar had allegedly granted the land, reserved for political sufferers in 1966, at Kyalasanahalli near Hennur for four people in violation of the procedures. The local people had brought the issue to the notice of the Assistant Commissioner concerned and MLA N S Nandish Reddy. It is said that when the MLA enquired the tahsildar about sanction of land, she defended her action.
However, when the Assistant Commissioner visited her office, the files related to sanctioning of land were missing. The MLA complained to the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa against the officer and following which she was suspended.
