The arrested, Prasanna (29) of Lakshmidevammma Block in Ganganagar had sent the mail in the name of Jayasheelan, to the office of Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City, on July 22.  He had threatened to blow up the Vidhana Soudha very soon.

Considering seriousness of the threat, the Commissioner handed over the inquiry to a special CCB team. The team collected details of the mail and traced the origin of the mail. Prasanna was arrested from his house, police said.

Prasanna told the police during interrogation that he sent the mail in Jayasheelan’s name to take revenge on him. Prasanna worked with World Vision, a non-government organisation for five years.

There was a dispute between Prasanna and Jayasheelan, who stays in DJ Halli over a monetary matter. Prasanna decided to implicate Jayasheelan in a bigger crime. He created an e-mail ID in Jayasheelan’s name providing details of Jayasheelan’s residence etc.
Details given by Jayasheelan helped the police in zeroing on Prasanna, police said.
