Lions installation on July 31
Installation of the District Cabinet of District Governor Lion J Krishnananda Rao will be held on Saturday at 4 pm a Milagres hall complex.
Addressing a news conference, District Governor (Dist 324-D5) Lion J Krishnananda Rao said that former District Governor and Nitte University Vice-Chancellor Dr Shantharam Shetty will install the cabinet while District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar will inaugurate the district projects.
He said that Palemar will release two amulances of the planned five ambulances as a part of district project. Palemar will also inaugurate the Cornea Donation Camp and distribute a pair of artificial limbs to 2 needy patients.
Mangalore Commissioner of Police Seemanth Kumar Singh will be the guest of honour, Rao added. Adoption of 20 Government schools, donation of 5,000 units of blood and regular programmes on environment, global warming and food drive are some of the other projects to be undertaken during the year.
