Kiran Srinivas, the handsome hero of Haage Summane fame is on a high these days.

Having successfully completed his small screen venture Kanasina Kanmani and with three projects in hand, the actor can’t help but grin from ear to ear.

Though his career graph needs another solo hit, the actor is not in a mood to rush in. Kiran interacted with Metrolife and shared information about his latest projects, future ambition and also said that he is happy with the kinds of roles coming his way.

Currently, working in Prema Chandrama, a triangular love story with Raghu Mukherjee and Rekha, Kiran says he has pinned his hopes on it.

“We have already completed eighty per cent of the shooting. I play an NRI doctor in the film. People can watch a new Kiran in a mature role in this October release,” says Kiran, who has a guest role in another movie Chiru and plays the love interest of Radhika Gandhi in Malashree starrer Veera.

“In Veera, I again play a romantic character. Radhika Gandhi is a kin of an influential person and she is guarded by Veera, essayed by Malashree. In the second half, she protects both of us from wicked hands,” he says.

Another major development has happened on career front for Kiran. He has signed a contract with Yash Raj films for a television serial to be aired on Sony.

Will it pave a way to Bollywood? “God knows, I hope it does. For me language is not a criteria. I would like to be a part of good stories, that’s it,” he avers. His brief yet impressive small screen venture helped him in many ways.

“There were no retakes. I was supposed to deliver the best in the first shot itself. It always kept me on toes and was really a nice experience,” he exclaims.

Though things didn’t turn up the way he had expected after Haage Summane, Kiran has no regrets about entering the industry. “Probably, I failed to prove my acting prowess. Now, I am more serious and my ambition is to work in kind of movies which late Shankar Nag used to make,” says Kiran.

Kiran hangs out with Diganth, Yash and Aindrita, who are his close buddies in the industry. “Diganth and I have many similarities. I also share a good relationship with many directors and cinematographers for that matter.”

What could be a heartbreaking news for many young girls is that Kiran has no plans to consider marriage proposals for the next ten years. “I just want to focus on my career right now. I want to prove myself as an able actor and fifteen years down the line, maybe a good director, if things go as planned.”
