I want to be part of well-packaged Bollywood films: Trisha

Mumbai, Aug 11 (PTI):

Southern actress Trisha Krishnan, who is eyeing a long innings in Bollywood after her debut in 'Khatta Meetha', says she plans to work in 'well-packaged' films and with established stars like Shahrukh and Aamir Khan.

"When I started my career in South, I worked with well packaged filmmakers and will follow the same in Bollywood. Since I want to establish myself here, I intend to be part of well packaged films," Trisha told PTI here.

"I would love to work with established stars like Aamir and Shahrukh Khan. Also, young actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are very promising ," the 27-year-old actress said.

The actress, who has done nearly 35 films down South in the last seven years, made her debut in Bollywood this year with Priyadarshan's 'Khatta Meetha' opposite Akshay Kumar.
"As I am venturing in this industry I am making cautious moves...Also, I am choosy about the films I do. I want to slowly and gradually make a mark in this industry as well," she said.

The southern heart-throb is inclined towards filmmakers and actors in Bollywood who dabble with different ideas.

"I have seen Bollywood filmmakers and actors experimenting with different roles and subjects.I am pleased to be part of this growing cinema. Movies like 'Fashion', 'Dostana' and 'Wanted'..and Vidya and Amitji's acting in 'Paa' ..Priyanka in 'Fashion' were just outstanding," Trisha said.

The actress will be seen next in the Hindi remake of a Tamil flick opposite Prateik Babbar.
"Its a love story with just Prateik and me in central roles. I have done the Tamil version of this film called 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya'. Now the same director Gautham Menon is remaking it in Hindi," Trisha said.

The actress also said that she would give more attention to Bollywood but would also continue to do Tamil and Telugu films.
"I have become a bit choosier in doing Tamil and Telugu films. But I haven't cut down on these films.. Its just that I am being extra careful in doing films as I have to maintain that mark that I have made for myself," Trisha said.
