RSS chief’s call on I-Day

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday exhorted the need for working towards building a stronger nation by understanding and practising the real meaning of Independence.
“One should realise that Independence is a responsibility. Each citizen of the nation individually has this responsibility. In a democratic nation, responsibility is to be shared individually by all,” Bhagwat said after unfurling the national flag at Rashtrotthana Parishat in Bangalore.
Speaking at the sidelines of the function, RSS All India General Secretary Madandas Devi said the State government should not succumb to extra-Constitutional forces, with regard to the mining issue. However, he did not specify any names.
