The audio of Kannada film Jackie was launched amidst much fanfare and drama. The movie boasts of some soulful music and the cast includes the best from the Kannada film industry. The Rajkumar family was present in full strength and did their bit to encourage and support the movie.

The film has Puneeth Rajkumar and Bhavana in the lead. They were present for the launch last week. The CDs were unveiled by Puneeth Rajkumar’s daughters. The launch also turned out to be an occasion for praising each other’s work.

Speaking about the music, V Harikrishna, the music director said that all the five songs have new and different tunes and emotions.

“I tuned the music for the lyrics that were already written. It’s rare and truly enjoyable,” he said.

Suri, the director said, “When I met Parvathamma a year ago to discuss the project, she readily agreed and supported us through and through. Raghavendra Rajkumar never put a constraint on the budget and gave me a free hand. I thank Harikrishna for giving excellent songs and Yograj for penning such wonderful lyrics.”

Puneeth Rajkumar, the lead actor didn't reveal much about the film or his character. “I don't know how I acted in this movie but everybody in the team worked hard. I crooned the song Edavattaytu... penned by Yograj Bhat,” he said.

Shivarajkumar said that he is a big fan of Puneeth Rajkumar and was eagerly waiting for Jackie’s release. He appreciated Yograj Bhat for penning five songs.

“Usually directors stick to their films and never write lyrics for other production films. It is a good thing for the Kannada film industry. Harikrishna has beautifully tuned them and he has overtaken Guru Kiran in this regard," he said.

Parvathamma Rajkumar, the producer said, “I was sceptical about Suri when he met me to discuss the project. When I witnessed his working style in Kanteerava Studio, I reposed my faith in him. I wish the whole team a good luck.”

Yogaraj Bhat, who contributed five songs, to the film averred that he is not a poet and his lyrics are the better version of spoken language. Cinematographer Satya Hegde didn't speak much, but assured that it will be a treat of sorts.

Ravi Kale, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Mohan (Anand Audio) and Imran Sardhariya also spoke at the event. Others such as Rockline Venkatesh, director Guru Prasad, lyricist Jayanth Kaikini, actress Harshika Poonacha, Guru Dutt were present on the
occasion.
