Ex-serviceman held for raping mentally ill
A 53-year-old ex-serviceman was arrested for allegedly raping a mentally retarded girl in Whitefield.
The victim, a 22-year-old girl informed the police that for the last one year the accused had been repeatedly raping her. When she was subjected to medical examination it was found out that she was four months pregnant.
The accused, Krishnan, a native of Chennai was a security supervisor at a private garments factory. He was living in the company quarters for the last six years. The victim was also staying in the same quarters along with her uncle, also a security guard in the same factory.
According to victim’s uncle Lokesh, “The accused had been sexually exploiting her, as she is mentally retarded.”
After medical examination, a case of rape has been booked against Krishnan. He has been remanded to judicial custody, the police said.
The incident came to light when the victim’s uncle saw the two in a compromising position.
